A group of these growers joined together to form The Vidalia Onion Committee to protect and manage the quality of the crop. The VOC was instrumental in getting the Federal Marketing Order passed and establishing the Vidalia onion as Georgia’s Official State Vegetable. The committee is made up of esteemed community leaders who are dedicated to protecting and growing the Vidalia onion brand.
