The Oconee River Resource Conservation and Development Council is governed by a volunteer RC&D “Council.” This Council is made up of individuals that are active in their communities and have a passion for improving the quality of life for its residents while improving natural resources. There are fourteen member counties, for member Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and three Members-at-large that serve the Council. Each member county has two voting members. The members of the Council represent a wide variety of interests and include elected officials, government staff, landowners, farmers, business owners, and other interested citizens.
