Dr. Jennifer grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She knew at a very young age that she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine as a career. She completed her undergraduate studies at Auburn University, and then remained there to receive her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
During the summers of veterinary school, Dr. Jennifer completed numerous aquatic and marine mammal programs in the Florida Keys, Sarasota and Woods Hole, MA. Despite a marine mammal veterinary opportunity in Florida, she still felt called to be an exclusive small animal veterinarian.
