Dr. Emma Rich is a Georgia native who grew up in Marietta, where from an early age, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Rich loved Athens and the Bulldawgs so much that she continued her education at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM degree. During her clinical training, she completed a diverse array of externships including time at the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Humane Society, and Exotic & Avian specialty hospitals. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, and avian & exotic medicine.
