At BrightSense we are the sales and technical representatives in the in the Rocky Mountain West region for ARCTIC cold climate hydronic heatpumps. These air-source heatpumps are mainly used for in-floor radiant applications in homes and businesses. We right-size equipment for the application based on the actual heating and cooling loads of the structure. We help with system integration and provide piping, wiring, and programming instructions.
BrightSense is also a mechanical systems design firm with our focus on electrification and energy efficiency in residential home construction. All-electric homes are safer, healthier, lower cost, and better for the planet.
We help architects, builders, installers, and contractors achieve the level of energy efficiency, performance, and comfort desired by their clients.
Our comprehensive approach starts with determining the client’s goals and objectives, and includes system design, selecting the most appropriate technologies and products, working with the trades ensuring installation matches the design, and does not end until after the system has been commissioned and performance per the goals and objectives has been established.
Our yearlong project design and product development experience in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Domestic Hot Water appliance industries puts us in a unique position to serve today’s home builders with innovative solutions for tomorrow’s homes.

Hans Joachim Preiss and his team are helping accelerate the transition to all-electric buildings out of their office in Boulder, Colorado, where they are working to simplify net-zero to the point where it becomes affordable and mainstream. He previously held engineering positions at the boiler, water heater, and geothermal heatpump division of Bosch North America, and developed net-zero energy homes that were built as early as 2007 in Canada, New England, and Georgia. Hans has a degree in Engineering Physics with specialization in Environmental Science from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany.
